Bad Breath

A low-carb diet deprives your body of its preferred energy source, causing it to turn to body fat stores for energy. While this is usually quite effective for losing weight, it also puts your body in ketosis, which has the unpleasant side effect of bad breath.

Digestive Issues

When you remove all the pasta, bread and other grains from your diet, you also remove the fiber. As a result, you may experience bloating, gas or constipation. Poor Performance

Carbs are the preferred source of energy for the body, so when you’ve been low-carbing for a while, you eventually deplete the muscle storage of carbohydrates, or glycogen. This can lead to sluggishness during your workouts, decreased stamina or decreased strength, which may cause you to avoid workouts altogether.
